Studies in Fungi (e-ISSN 2465-4973) is the official journal of Mountain Futures Research Centre. It was launched in 2016 by the Mushroom Research Foundation. From 2021, Studies in Fungi is published by Maximum Academic Press.
Studies in Fungi is an open access, peer-reviewed journal, publishing one volume per year, and covers all aspects of mycology. It has built a reputation for the publication of high-quality research papers related to fungi and fungus-like organisms, including lichens, oomycetes, and slime molds. The journal publishes articles on a wide range of topics, including fungal taxonomy and phylogeny, species domestication, ecology, evolution, biotechnology, genetics and genomics, and pathology. The following kinds of articles are accepted: short communications; reviews relating to taxonomy, methodology, and research advances; research articles; taxonomic studies; monographs.
