Sustainable Practices in Tropical Horticulture

This special issue addresses the pressing need for sustainable methods in tropical agriculture. As global demand for tropical crops increases, it becomes crucial to ensure that their production is environmentally, economically, and socially sustainable. This issue aims to highlight recent research advances, innovative practices and cutting-edge technologies that promote sustainability in tropical horticulture. Topics include, but not limited to, integrated pest and disease management, genetic improvement, abiotic stress mitigation, water conservation techniques, improving soil health and agroforestry systems in vegetable and fruit production. New sustainable post-harvest technologies are also welcome. By exploring these areas, we aim to fill existing research gaps and provide clear directions for future studies in sustainable and organic areas. Our goal is to promote a holistic approach that increases productivity while preserving tropical ecosystems for future generations. We welcome publishing high-quality original research articles, review articles, perspectives, opinions, and methods, including but not limited to the following research topics on sustainable practices in tropical horticulture:
