Food Innovation and Advances (ISSN 2836-774X) is an open access, online journal published by China Agricultural University, Zhejiang University and Shenyang Agricultural University. Dr. Xiaojun Liao and Dr. Weibiao Zhou both serve as the Editors-in-Chief of the journal.

Food Innovation and Advances focuses on both fundamental and applied topics in cross-disciplinary areas within the scope of agriculture and food. The journal publishes the most 'innovative' and 'cutting-edge' research work including but not limit to new food resources, food preservation, processing technologies, food nutrition, and food safety, in the forms of original research articles, comprehensive reviews, mini-reviews, research highlights and perspectives.

Food Innovation and Advances offers APC waivers during the June 2022 to June 2025.

The benefits of being a member of the Youth Editorial Board include but are not limited to the following:

(1) enhance your academic influence through serving the research community;

(2) give priority to the publication of high-level international articles submitted or invited by youth members as first or corresponding authors;

(3) receive a certificate for acknowledging your contributions to the journal;

(4) get access to the latest research in advance and new contacts in your research field;

(5) get to know other scholars in your field and broaden academic connectivity.

The Youth Editorial Board members are expected to contribute to the journal by:

(1) submitting at least one high-quality manuscript as the first author or corresponding author to the journal within the recruitment term;

(2) inviting at least one high-quality manuscript from outstanding scientists to the journal within the recruitment term;

(3) reviewing for the journal;

(4) acting as the ambassador of the journal and promoting it through social media, conferences, and other channels;

(5) joining Editorial Board meetings, and other activities called by the Editors-in-Chief.
